AN ADVENTURE AFTER SO LONG...
7:00...... and we've waited for about half and hour now. Qing Yee's nowhere to be seen. I browsed through Ming-Fei's dad's National Geographic magazines and chose one for the trip.
We made our way to Taiping, picking up our last man, Jenn Woei before making our way to the North-South Highway; north-bound. Passing through were some of the landscapes so ingrained in my mind, however so they appeared cold and distant. Marbles..
We had our breakfast in a small town, Kampar. One of the best beef noodles ever, before traversing back on the same way we came to the highway and then the town of Everlasting Peace.
It rained for most part of the afternoon, after an unsucessful wade in the waterfalls. We were confined in our rooms of Panorama Hotel. Dinner led us to the famous Taiping Lakes, where the branches of the Methuselahian raintrees edge toward the waters, caressing it softly.
Then, we took some innocent drive around the town... mazing our way back to the hotel where we dozed off without a countdown while we watched the first installment of Lord Of The Ring.
